Barefoot Cinema’s Surfing Nights have become a fixture of the program every year. Our awesome natural venues located along the coast combined with the summer vibes of our events lend themselves perfectly to a celebration of surf culture.
This season, we will be screening Momentum Generation, described by Outside Online as a “gorgeously shot feel-good documentary, filled with spectacular surfing footage”. Rating 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, directors Jeff and Michael Zimbalist’s excellent, eloquent documentary features surfing icons Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Taylor Knox, Ross Williams, Shane Dorian and more, as it tells the story of a ragtag community of teenage surfers and how they brought their sport to unprecedented heights.
Barefoot Cinema will once again be partnering with OneWave Charity – the non-profit surf community raising awareness of mental health, through saltwater therapy, surfing and fluro. You can donate during the ticket purchase process or on the night, so BE GENEROUS!Book Now

Yesterday - Charity Screening for The Hunger Project at Portsea
The Hunger Project’s mission is to end world hunger by 2030. They do things a little differently — they see people living in hunger as the solution, not the problem. They work
with people living in hunger in Africa, India and Bangladesh to empower them with the resources and skills they need to end their own hunger.
Barefoot Cinema will be taking donations for this charity at the screening of Yesterday on Monday 30th December at Portsea. Make sure you head down and donate big to support a great team doing great things. Any donations they receive means more of the funds raised can go directly to the programs they run, which have an incredible impact breaking the cycle of hunger for generations to come.Book Now
